My whole leadership team uses ChatGPT for emails but nothing about how the business runs has changed. Why?

Short answer
Because faster emails were never the bottleneck. Individual ChatGPT use is the first of four levels of AI adoption. At that level the AI has no context about your business: not your tools, your brand or your voice. Every chat starts from zero. Things change when you feed it that context and build it into real workflows.

My whole leadership team uses ChatGPT for emails, but nothing about the business has changed. Why?
Because that just means that ChatGPT is writing your emails faster. And writing faster emails wasn't the bottleneck. What you've currently got going on is individual use of AI, simply at level one, chatbot stage. There are usually four levels that people go through, and it sounds like your business is currently at stage one.
The way that you're using it, the AI has no context about your business. It doesn't know the tooling. It doesn't know your brand. It doesn't know your voice. It doesn't know anything about you. Every time you start a new chat, it's starting from zero.
So, one client that we worked with was still, in 2026, handcrafting their sales proposals. It was a high-end, high-value product, so they were very, very particular about what went out. But it still took a day of using InDesign templates. By giving the tools access to the brand, some guidelines, some examples and some templates, you can shrink that down to virtually nothing, as long as you can feed that context directly in.
So, don't buy more licences. Ask your team: what workflow has AI shipped for you recently? That will give you the answer of where you're at.
